What is the GMAT?
The Graduate Management Admission Test or GMAT is a Computer Adaptive Test taken by aspirants who dream of pursuing their MBA in their favorite Business schools abroad. Conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) the Graduate Management Admission Test is one of the most important MBA entrance exams in the world.
GMAT is an entrance criterion and has gained acceptability in over 2300 colleges and 7000 programs across the world. It caters to candidates who are looking forward to associating with the leading B-Schools of the world, as management graduates. Every year over 200,000 candidates sit for the GMAT.

GMAT Computer Adaptive Test
The GMAT is a Computer Adaptive test that which over 200,000 candidates sit for the test. The challenge is to assess them on the basis of how these candidates perform on a 3-hour test. Therefore, the test was designed specifically by GMAC in an adaptive manner to check a test taker’s ability in the shortest span of time.
The quantitative and verbal reasoning sections of the GMAT are computer-adaptive meaning it judges a candidate in real-time on the basis of his ability level.
Computer adaptive testing selects questions based on the answers to the previous questions. For example, if you answer a question correctly, your following question will be slightly tough.
Whereas, if you fail to provide the correct answer to your previous question, you will be presented with an easy question. The process continues until you complete the section. You cannot skip, return or change your answers to questions.
